Cisco Systems is taking part to everyone's concern...Climate Change! Yes, they recently pledge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 25 percent by the year 2012, relying to IT and launching energy-efficiency projects to achieve operational goals. According to Laura Ipsen, co-chair of Cisco's Eco Board and Senior Vice President of Cisco's Global Policy and Government Affairs. "We are innovators at Cisco, and we believe that the best way to achieve a more sustainable impact is to rely on innovation and our technology to help us solve problems,". She also said, "Our number one goal here is to use less energy - and we're going to do that by drawing on the power of technology to make things smarter." As we all are aware of technical industry is rapidly increasing, more and more are using energy meaning billions of kWh and tends to increase in the near future. With this initiative from Cisco to lessen by 25 percent is a very strong and hopefully an effective campaign that company's growth can go hand in hand in protecting the environment.
